Photographer Karim Carella of Italy was Awarded Honorable Mention in Fine Art for the winning entry “Born in the 18th century” at prestigious Monochrome Awards honouring Black & White Photography.

The 2017 Monochrome Awards received 8842 submissions from 87 countries around the world.

Winning images were selected by panel of international judges, including: Allison Barnes, Andre Brito, Anna Filipova, Ben Nixon, Claire A. Warden, David Fokos, David Johndrow, Dominique Bollinger , Katarina Balgavy, Martin Stavars, Michel Rajkovic, Norma I. Quintana, Pia Elizondo, Rebecca Cairns, Roman Loranc, Ted Preuss and Tomasz Lazar.
